Jack's relationship with Raine has calmed down a lot. He feels like they have gotten almost back to normal, to the point where he can start teasing her properly as one of his "wenches" once more. For Jack, that whole marriage/wedding night "thing" is far in the past, now. He rarely thinks about it and is happy to believe that she's forgotten about it, too. Jack to some extent relies on Raine as one of the few "longtime" friends he has kept in Luceti. He also considers her, because of her closeness with Albert, a kind of link to the movers and shakers in Luceti. (Jack has no desire to be a mover and shaker himself, but it's nice to have a conduit to the Big Wigs.)
